Products That I Use

This is a collection of products I’ve used and really liked.  Stuff from tech, everyday items you might not have heard of, or just cool stuff that makes life easier, everything here has been tried and used by me. I’m sharing my recommendations so you can check them out too whether you’re looking for something specific or just browsing for ideas.

Self-Cleaning & Retractable Bidet Add-on for Toilet

I’ve wanted a bidet for a long while, and this one is amazing. It’s not a super fancy one with heated water like they have in Japan, but it definitely gets the job done. It was super easy to install (according to our maintenance guy), and the adjustable water pressure makes it really comfortable. The dual retractable nozzles stay clean when not in use, which is a nice feature. Plus, since it doesn’t need electricity, so there’s no complicated setup. Just slap it inline with the water supply for the toilet’s tank and you’re good to go! The only downside is that it adds more crevices to clean on your toilet, but its worth it for the amount of toilet paper it saves.

Japanese Ceramic Letter Opener

I’ve tried the normal letter openers that you have to shove into the envelope flap, and they love to get stuck. This letter opener uses a ceramic blade that glides smoothly along the outside of the flap and makes a clean cut. It’s also lightweight and feels much better. Some envelopes are too thick to use this though, but that’s pretty rare. Definitely worth the $10.

SAMSUNG BAR Plus 3.1 USB Flash Drive, 128GB @ 400MB/s

I’ve been using this USB drive for a year now, and it’s been surprisingly reliable for the price! The 400MB/s speed is nice, the metal case gives it a really solid feel. I don’t feel afraid to put this on my keychain and risk breaking it in my pocket.

Dual Monitor HDMI/USB KVM Switch

I hadn’t used a KVM switch before, but I got this one for my boyfriend’s work setup so he wouldn’t have to crawl under his desk every time he switched between his work and personal PC. It’s been such a worthwhile investment. It does everything it says on the tin, the display quality is great (even to my boyfriend’s 4K ultrawide monitor). The built-in USB hub is great to share his keyboard and mouse between the two PCs. Plus, it comes with all the cables, so setup was simple. It even has a little button you can stick to your desk so you can switch between devices without having to touch the KVM directly. Definitely a great solution for anyone juggling multiple computers!

Amazon Basics 128GB Micro SDXC Card with Adapter

If you’re looking for a solid microSD card without spending a fortune, the this one is actually a great pick. Yeah, it’s an Amazon brand, but honestly, it holds up well. The speed is good for everyday use, the included adapter is appreciated, and after years of use none of the ones I bought failed once. For the price, it’s a no-brainer if you just need reliable storage as a layman.

Kryptonite Evolution 4 1016 Bike Chain Lock

This is a solid bike lock. Probably not the best for super busy cities, but it keeps my e-bike from walking away on its own! I love that it comes with a little dust guard to cover the lock cylinder (even if I forget to close it)! The only issue I’ve had is the lock cylinder being a bit tricky to get the key inside of.
